After going through my first pregnancy, I felt this amazing empowerment but also need for deeper connection with my partner, my child and community. The experience was intense and overwhelming but beautiful all at the same time.
My second birth was also challenging in its own way but also very awesome, and I was grateful to have a wonderful Physician and Doula there to nurture and keep me balanced throughout the process.
With a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's in Special Education, I have always known that it was my calling to support mothers, babies and families. I have received a Mental Health Professionals Certificate with Postpartum Support International. I am a mom with a passion to help families find joy through music and dance, create community and connection but most importantly to help you bond and have a healthy attachment with your baby.
In my role as a certified Prenatal and Postpartum GroovaRoo Instructor and Babywearing Consultant, I offer education to women and their partners before, during and after childbirth. My role is to help facilitate safe, positive and empowering bonding experiences by offering movement, education, social support and resources needed during this time.
